LIGHTNING HAND (Sacramento,CA) is a Blues-based Rock 'n' Roll band that plays a full night of covers and original music in the same vein. The band is generally thought of as a Classic/Rock & Blues band with an emphasis on the 60's and 70's. Their sound has been described by fans as a diverse and modern blend of Eric Clapton, The Grateful Dead, The Band, The Beatles, The Allman Brothers, Rolling Stones, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Tom Petty, Black Crowes as well as traditional Blues and Country. Tight rhythms and sweet harmonies are at the core, while wandering melodies flow from every corner. There are 4 different singers in the band which allows for lots of vocal harmonies . LIGHTNING HAND is currently playing the Sacramento area and throughout Northern California. The band has played at ARCO Arena for the Sacramento Kings, Konocti Harbor Resort, Laguna Del Sol, as well as opened for ZZ Top, The Parrotheads and Mumbo Gumbo in 2008. Several songs have been played on the radio including 2 songs on National Public Radio.
