Marty G-Mit - Los Angeles Magician

I was born and raised about 20 miles North West of Los Angeles, in an area called the San Fernando Valley and now reside just South of Los Angeles, in the beach side community of Torrance. My interest in magic began when I was young and traveled with my parents to Las Vegas where I was privileged enough to see the likes of Doug Henning, Penn & Teller, Lance Burton, Siegfried & Roy, and many others I cannot remember. It's just unfortunate that I had ignored that interest till just over one year ago when it rekindled as a result of my wife's asking that I find a different hobby other than coin collecting.

To my surprise and delight the very day we had that conversation I received in the mail the Torrance Community Adult School schedule. I thumbed through its many pages of offerings and came upon a magic class taught by a magcician known as Jheff. I signed up and the rest is as they say, is history. I joined the local International Brotherhood of Magicians Ring, Southern California Association of Magicians, and Society of American Magicians where I attend their meetings and lectures regularly.

Currently I am furthering my education in Magic at the famous Magic Castle in Hollywood, California and intend to complete their various levels of training to improve my skills both as a magician and a performer.

have been steadily performing since I began learning and have performed for a variety of audiences. Most of the magic I perform is close up; however, I have some effects that will work in just about any venue.
