Combining Egyptian and American style Belly Dance for a classical presentation of this art, Salawa strives to educate herself in all forms of dance, although belly dance has always been her first passion. Her belly dance performances and classes are always a respectable, family appropriate fun event. Salawa believes in bring the art of belly dance to the audience in a memorable and interactive way.

Salawa Ahmed has performed with live musician from the San Francisco Bay area such as Reda Darwish and Georges Lammam. Professional Belly Dancer, Salawa Ahmed was also a featured dancer at Crest Café and Taj Mahal restaurants in Sacramento, California as well as the Santorini Grille in Auburn. She also performed regularly at the beautiful, Kasbah Tea Lounge in Sacramento. Salawa has also performed at large scale belly dance events such as the Desert Dance Festival, Rakkasah and Cairo Carnivale as well as Multi-cultural fairs at local elementary and high schools.

Salawa has studied Belly Dance from performers and instructors such as Farida Fahmy, Faten Salama, Astryd deMichele, Aziza, Hala, Amina Goodyear, Fahtiem and Badia'a Samara El Neel.
